Brazilian beef exports grew from January to September 2019. According to data from the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex), released by the Brazilian Beef Exporters Association (ABIEC), in this period, the volumes shipped totaled 1.227 thousand tons, 9.2% increase compared to the same period in 2018. In terms of revenues, there was a 4.6% growth, with numbers of USD 4.9 billion. In September, 145 thousand tons were exported, with revenues of USD 609.4 million. “We believe that the pace of exports is compatible with market expectations,” says Abiec’s president, Mr. Antonio Jorge Camardelli.

When looking at the main destinations, the highlight remains China, whose exports from January to September totaled 253,000, a growth of 11.2% over the same period last year. Sales to Egypt also boosted the accumulated result, with 9.4% increase in volume.
